Add workspace tags and fields to non-premium plans
Cam Brewster
as the first full-time user researcher at my company, I found it immensely valuable to be able to set up workspace-wide tags and fields on Dovetail, and it really helped convince the rest of "my company of the value of not just Dovetail as a platform, but of user research in general. I feel that that capability is vital for smaller businesses and teams just getting started with systematizing user feedback - precisely why I'm sad to see it being pushed to the most expensive plan on your platform. Just thought I'd share this with you.
All the best, and thank you once again!"

Agreed. Workspace tags and fields are a fundamental feature for a repository. I would rather AI be a premium feature and workspace tags and fields be what is available for all. I am reconsidering our Dovetail subscription now that we're losing this feature switching to Professional from a legacy plan

I just signed up for the free plan to try dovetail — I am a condens user and was interested in switching — but I don't understand what the point of the product is if I can't tag transcriptions. That's like the most basic of basic functionality for a research platform in my opinion. I was excited to see what else you could do in features but I guess I'll never know because not having tagging makes this useless to me. Also not calling that out clearly on your pricing page made me waste a bunch of time signing up, uploading, and transcribing things. I'm now annoyed and prejudiced against Dovetail as a product. Magic is not a selling point to me as a user researcher in any way whatsoever.

Ripping core functionality out of our plan is bang out of order

We invested time and effort in Global tags and templates - this was a core reasons we bought your service. Will be looking at alternatives now as we can't afford the leap to your enterprise plan. Forcing us onto that plan is so disappointing...
